A crisp unique uniform goes a long way in establishing a culture and creating an identity within an organization. A Trailman is proud to display his uniform and achievements.
An official Trail Life USA uniform is required for all troop meetings, fundraisers, events, and regional meetings.
Trailman and registered adult males are required to wear the following as part of their troop uniform:
Official Trail Life Light-Weight Ripstop Cargo Pant (Other dark green pants are also acceptable, many in our troop use "LA Police Gear Kid's Rip-Stop Cargo Pants, Tactical Pants for Children, Youth Outdoor Pants" from Amazon)
Troop Uniform Shoulder Loop (Registered adult males need the registered adult shoulder loop. Trailmen need their patrol shoulder loop.)
Official Trail Life USA Lanyard with Sleeve (A lanyard with a printed nametag is required for all registered adults and Trailmen. Nametag can be printed from your Trail Life Connect account profile. Your son's nametag can be printed from his profile under your account.)
Patrol Handbook: Woodlands or Navigators/Adventurers
Optional:
Troop Meetings (1st and 3rd Saturday of the month): uniform shirt, shoulder loop, lanyard, and Patrol handbook. Since Trailmen will be doing a variety of activities during troop meetings, they may wear their official Trail Life cargo pants or bottoms of their choosing.
Hit the Trail and Campouts: a uniform is not required for these events. Trailmen may wear active wear that is weather and event-appropriate.
Troop Events, Fundraisers, and Regional Meetings: a full uniform is required for these events. A full uniform consists of a uniform shirt, shoulder loop, lanyard, and official Trail Life cargo pants.
